I will overwhelm 'legitimate fighter' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua said he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants confronted each other to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Ex twice world title holder Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a massive disparity - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Mindset

"I'm going to break his face and break his body up. My goal is to show I'm superior," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will really want to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

Despite such comments, a calm Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather criticized ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' claims he will make on a Paul win.

"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.

"I respect him for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's History

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the Disney Channel - has mostly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.

He was defeated by British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest financial successes, consistently making huge earnings.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is truly happening.
